Betty Jo Byrd, age 64, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
Mrs. Byrd was born in Gulfport to Elmer R. and Vera Burkett Watts.  She was a lifetime member of New Hope Baptist Church where she remained very active in the daily life of the church and in Act Teens as a youth in the church.  Betty Jo was an amateur radio operator (KB5CSQ), and owned B & B Instrumentation Products, Inc.  She was also a leader in the Southern Riders 4H Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Edward Lamar Byrd; children, Robert Edward Byrd and Stephen Lamar Byrd (Tracy); her grandchildren, Stephen L. Byrd, II, Hailey M. Byrd, Brandon L. Byrd, and Rebecca Reygaert; and her great granddaughter, Bella Grace Byrd.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Coalville Cemetery, Biloxi.
