Betti Jean McMillan Combs, 81 of Weatherford, Texas passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, in Weatherford.
The only child of Georgia English and John Murray McMillan, Betti was born in McComb, MS on June 10, 1927. She attended Gloster High School and graduated from Gulf Park College, a finishing school in Gulfport, MS. She also attended the University of Mississippi and Newcomb School of Business in New Orleans, LA.
She was employed as an agent for National Airlines for two years and for Eastern Airlines for 32 years, enjoying retirement in March 1985.
For the last 10 years Betti lived in Veranda Place in Weatherford under the loving care of the nursing staff there.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Starley Combs. She is survived by her son, John """"Kevin"""" Walsh and wife, Christine; and a grandson, Jackson K. Walsh, all of Weatherford, TX.
