Elizabeth """"Beth"""" Porter, age 29, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in Mobile, AL.
She was a native of Champagne, IL and was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. Mrs. Porter was currently employed as an Administrative Manager at Lowe's in Waveland. She enjoyed spending time with her 2 dogs, """"Harley"""" and """"Chopper.""""
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: John Dean Hawkins and Jean L. Hawkins; and expected son, Johnathan Reid Porter.
She is survived by her husband, Josh Porter, Gulfport; her parents, John D. and Mary Hawkins, Newman, IL; 1 brother, John Hawkins, Urbana, IL; her grandparents, Ed and Betty Mulcahey, Newman, IL; her Godfather, Thomas Mulcahey; her Godmother, Zala Swigart; Aunts, Margaret Mulcahey and Theresa (Brian) Smith; uncles: James Mulcahey, Sam (Teresa) Hawkins, Glen (Cindy) Hawkins, and Eric (Zala) Swigart, and numerous other family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Saturday, March 1, 2008 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Newman, IL. Visitation will be from 9:30- 10:30 at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Chapel on the Navy SeaBee Base.
