Bessie Mae Currie

Mrs. Bessie Mae Hocutt Currie, age 80, of Gulfport, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 30, 2011.
Mrs. Currie was born in Lexington, MS to Frank Earnest and Jessie Mary Perry Hocutt.
Mr. & Mrs. Currie began their life together in 1949 and moved to Gulfport where they started building their construction & rental business. They worked as a team to establish their dream.
Her interests included serving her Lord, loving her family, body recall, and reflexology.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Currie; her parents; and her eleven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Marie Currie of Gulfport, and Stephanie Ann Currie of Gautier; grandchildren, Heather Ann Christian and Kristen Annette Howd; and two great grandchildren, Bryton Alexander Christian and Micah Shane Christian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 11:30-1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
