Bess Ann Mullins-Witt-Lerch, age 58, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2024 in Gulfport, MS. She was surrounded by those that loved her during her transition. She was born on April 30, 1965 in New Orleans, LA to Barbara Ann Hollier and Robert Louis Mullins, Jr.
Bess was a devoted wife to Orval “Bud” Lerch, and a loving mother to Jason Royce Mullins, Micheal Kelly Witt, Megan Nicole Witt, Annalyse Allen Witt, Richard Van Lerch and step mother to Kimberly Ann Lerch, Kelly Ollinger, Robert Lerch and Timothy Lerch. She was also a cherished grandmother to Piper Jane Witt, Kaden Conner Baker, Zachary Michael Myers, Olivia Malise Day, Hazel Nichole Day, Michael Kelly Witt, Jr, Hailey Cooley, Hannah Cooley, Harlyn Witt, Samuel O’Neill lll, Bransen Benton, Abigail Benton, Ian Benton, Dennis Ollinger, Ryan Ollinger, and Marrissa Ollinger.
Throughout her life, Bess was known for her kindness, generosity, unwavering love for her family and her sense of humor. She had a passion for her grandchildren, animals, and loved a good cup of coffee while back porch sitting. She was willing to lend a helping hand when she could. Her sense of humor and her high spirited personality was well known by all who loved her. Bess will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Bess’s Celebration of Life will be held on March 9, 2024 at Christ Community Church at 26574 Juban Rd, Denham Springs, LA 70726. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Megan Witt to cover costs. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Bess Ann Mullins-Witt-Lerch, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. May she rest in peace.
