Bertha Mae Parker

Mrs. Bertha Mae Parker, age 70, of Saucier went to be with her Lord and Personal Savior on August 30, 2012 in Gulfport, MS. She was born January 22, 1942. She was a homemaker and member of Saucier Holiness Church. She was a wonderful person. Sweetness, much kindness, gentleness and compassion identified her greatly. She loved the Lord, served the Lord and looking in her last days for His face. She was a mom to many.
She is preceded in death by her father Rufus Devan Parker, and mother Mary Jane Parker; brothers, A.C. and J.C. Parker; four sisters, Marie Schivers, Treasie Parker, Wyona Moran, and Martha Jones.
She is survived by her devoted and cherished husband Lemont ""Pap"" Parker of 53 years; one daughter Dora (Robert) Necaise, one son, Hershel (Kathy) Parker; three brothers, J.D. (Doris) Parker, L.E. (Sandy) Parker, and Rufus (Laura) Parker; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Caudill, Rufus (Angie) Banks ton, Dustin (April) Parker, Katie (Jesse) Yarbrough, Robert and Scott Necaise, and Stacy Hendrickson; nine great -grandchildren, Blake and Cruz Caudill, Lauren Barta and Brayden Bankston, Hunter and Layla Parker, Luke, Anna and Lanney Yarbrough; and six step great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Douglas Lanier and his team, the 5th floor staff and ICU Unit at Memorial Hospital for their continued care, concern, and compassion they gave to Ms. Parker, which was referred to her as the ""champ"". She lived her testimony daily.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport from 6 - 9 pm. A celebration of life service will be on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 3pm, with visitation 1 hour prior at Saucier Holiness Church. Burial will follow at Saucier Cemetery.
