Bertha B. Moran, age 78 and a resident of Long Beach, MS, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010, in Long Beach.
Mrs. Moran was a native of Tylertown, MS, and graduated from Salem High School in Tylertown. She then graduated with high honors from the University of Southern Mississippi with her bachelor's degree. Mrs. Moran retired after 38 years of teaching, 36 of which were at Jeff Davis Elementary (now Harper McCaughan). She was a member of First Baptist Church of Long Beach.
Mrs. Moran was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James """"Jimmy"""" Moran; parents, Mary Etta Boyd Brumfield and Willie Albert Brumfield; brothers, Olen Brumfield and Cecil Brumfield; and sister-in-law, Patsy Ruth Brumfield.
Survivors include her daughters, Marisa Kaletsch and husband, Joey; and Jayme Lou Bobinger and husband, Larry; brothers, Daniel Houston Brumfield and wife, Mary Jo; Charles Brumfield and wife, Merle; James Willie Brumfield and wife, Judy Pat; sister-in-law, Louise Brumfield; grandchildren, Kellie Kaletsch and Kristy Kaletsch; caregiver, Jenna Loveland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach on Thursday, February 25, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 26, in the funeral home chapel, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
