Bertha L. Guzouskis, age 96 and a resident of Biloxi, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Guzouskis was a native of Chicago, Illinois, and had been a resident of Biloxi since 1981. She volunteered at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Biloxi for fourteen years, and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Guzouskis; her parents, Michael and Frances (Szevcics) Sheraka; and her niece, Fran (Grady) Hamilton.
She is survived by her son, James Guzouskis and wife Helga of Biloxi; grandchildren: Mike Guzouskis and wife Debbie of Pace, FL, and John Guzouskis of Gulfport; and great-grandchildren: Mark and Conner Guzouskis, of Pace, FL.
Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi. The Celebration of Life service is at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
