Bernie Dean Ladner, age 70 and a resident of Lizana, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mr. Ladner was a native and lifelong resident of Lizana and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Lizana. He served in the US Army, with a tour of duty in Germany. Mr. Ladner was owner/operator of his own construction company and he retired as an avid horse racer.
Mr. Ladner is preceded in death by his parents, Corbert & Edith Parker Ladner; his son, Pruet Ladner; his grandson, Nickolas Ladner and his sisters, Juanita Richards, Gladys Wade, and Vera Hart.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Patrick (Donde) Ladner and Paul Ladner all of Lizana and Priscilla Ladner of Poplarville; his grandchildren, Thomas & Amanda Johnson, Summer & Jesse Ladner, and Nickole Ladner; his great grandchildren, Hailey & Jasmine Johnson; several nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport. A graveside service will follow at 12'Noon at Wolf River Cemetery. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
