Bernice Marion Wilson, age 83, of Long Beach entered into the golden gates of Heaven on September 3, 2020. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
Bernice was born March 13, 1937, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Corinne Pancoast.
Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Cecil Wilson of Long Beach. Daughters, Susan Bailey Lyon, Diana Leger, and Sharon Hasselman (Mark) all from Long Beach; grandchildren, Christopher Lyon (Kerry), Melissa Allen (Casey), Tonya Ortega (Anthony), Sherry Freeman (Bryan), Stacie Faulk (Chris), Matthew Hasselman (Laura); great-grandchildren, Hunter Lyon, Harper Lyon, Luke Allen, Mason Allen, Diana Williams, JD Durham, Cameron Durham, Brent Notter, Tyler Notter, Landon Freeman, Emma McCollough, Claire McCollough, Melody Hasselman; great-great grandchildren, Maya Williams and Marcus Williams; nephews and nieces, Debra Rogers (John), Kirby Lunsford, Gary Lunsford (Shelly), and Corinne Buchholz (Rick).
Bernice was very proud that she was part of making metal parts that are within the St. Louis, Missouri bridge.
Bernice was known as the “goose whisper” in Long Beach, Mississippi. There was a goose that was wailing because she had lost her mate. She sat down on the ground, and she consoled the goose for 30 minutes.
The family would like to thank the Kare-In-Homes Health and Hospice for their constant support that they provided.
