Bernice Mashburne Wells, 88, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, in Weatherford, Texas.
She was born in Columbus, Mississippi, and was a long time resident of Biloxi. She worked at Keesler Air Force Base and was a member of the Ann Grayson Chapter, Order Of The Easter Star.
Her long time hobbies included crocheting, collecting turtle figurines, and playing cards with her friends in The Copper Pennies. Mrs. Wells was a gentle soul and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over fifty years, Clyde Alwyn Wells; her parents, Harvey and Elsie Mashburne and her two brothers, Harvey and Henry McLane.
Survivors include her daughter, Forrest Skaggs and her husband Gary Skaggs of Willow Park, Texas; her grandchildren, Ken Skaggs and Ann Cunningham and two great-grandsons.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials to oneaÌ‚â‚â„¢s favorite charity.
