Bernice Ellen Lizana, 85, went to meet her Lord and Savior on September 16, 2009.
Bernice was born May 6, 1924 in Gulfport MS. She was a lifelong resident of Saucier and was member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Lizana.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Lonnie Lizana; parents Grace and Dovic Cuevas; daughter Sandra Moran; granddaughter Schan Lizana; two brothers Weston and Kermit Cuevas; and one sister Elba Lois Ladner.
This loving mother and grandmother is survived by two sons, Jurvis Lizana (Paulette) and Charles Lizana (Christy); grandchildren, Michelle Burk (Mitchell), Tammy Ladner (Scottie), Kandy Moran (Rachel), Sandy Moran (Beth), Keith Moore (Heather), Kevin Lizana (Amy), Laurie Estridge (Jeffrey), Shawn Lizana (Brandi), Chad Sewell, numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Lizana, at 12:00 Noon, where friends may visit from 11:00 AM until service. Burial will follow at Lizana Family Cemetery, Saucier.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses and staff on the fourth floor (4c) at Memorial Hospital.
