Bernard Thomas """"Bennie"""" Ulrich, Jr., 81 of Pass Christian was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 24, 2008.
Bennie was born November 17, 1926 in Pineville. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish in Pineville, MS. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Msgr. Leach Council 4472. He was a retired longshoreman from I.L.A., local 1303 of Gulfport, but was a carpenter by trade. He also worked for the City of Pass Christian with the Public Works Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Ulrich, Sr. and Edvidge Babin Ulrich; son, Donnie Ulrich; five brothers, Godfrey, Dennis, Jack Sr., Raymond, and Louis Ulrich; and sister, Margaret Sims.
Bennie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Earlene Ulrich; their daughter, Kathy Rogers (Gene) of Pass Christian; their sons, David Ulrich (Sarah), Kenneth Ulrich (Beverly), Stevie Ulrich (Jimmye) all of Long Beach; grandchildren, Christina Spoon, Stephanie Schruff (Jeremy), Lindsey Walters (Chad), Stacey Ulrich, Michael Ulrich, Dylan Ulrich and Colby Ulrich; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob and Haylie Spoon and Anna Schruff; brother, John Ulrich (Ann) and Howard Ulrich; sister, Elizabeth Salinger of New Orleans, LA; and brother-in-law, Robert Necaise (Dora) of Saucier.
Bennie will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish Church in Pineville, MS. Burial to follow at Old Delisle Cemetery in Delisle, MS.
