Bernadine Rogers, 72, of Gulfport died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center.
Bernadine was born in Kosciusko, MS to Edna McKinnon and Austin Busby and grew up in Laurel where she graduated with the Calhoun High School class of 1955. She married George Bernell Rogers, her husband of 54 years, and had three children, Peggy Dean, Mary Denise, and Jerry Lynn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gene Busby, and her sister Sara Hill. Survivors include her husband, her sister Jennie Bell Cummins, her brother Rufus Lemoyne Busby, her children, her sons-in-law Ricky Banks and Troy Punzo, and her granddaughters Laura Banks and Courtney Banks.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi from 1:30 pm until 2:15 pm. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi at 2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Olivet Baptist Church in Gulfport, where Bernadine was a member since 1971, for the purchase of new bibles for distribution.
