Beatrice Marie Cuevas

Beatrice “Marie” Cuevas, age 70, of Gulfport, MS passed, October 23, 2023.

Marie was born on October 23, 1953, in Gulfport to the late Mabel and Renelder Cuevas. She was a graduate of Harrison Central High School and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with an accounting degree. She worked as a CPA in the Gulfport area serving her community for numerous decades. Marie was also a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She had a love for family and tried her best to help all she came across.

She was preceded in death by her significant other, Gordy Smith; siblings, Curvis (Juanita) Cuevas, Melton (Lorena and Pat) Cuevas, Beulah (Vent) Wilson, Jimmy James Cuevas, and Nelson (Carolyn Sue) Cuevas; sister-in-law, Linda Cuevas; and friend, Peggy Ladner.

Marie is survived by her siblings, Betty Ladner and Earl Cuevas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Gulfport with prayer services at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 am, at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Cuddy officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
