Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Ward

Mrs. Barbara Ann ""Bobbie"" Rosalis Ward, age 78, resident of Ocean Springs passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 in Ocean Springs.
She was born in Biloxi on April 18, 1933 and was a graduate of Biloxi High School. She married David J. Ward on July 24, 1952 at the Church of the Redeemer in Biloxi. And in 1975, Mrs. Ward moved to Ocean Springs.
She coached girls' softball in Biloxi for many years and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Biloxi Elks Lodge 606.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, painting, and reading.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Ward, Sr.; her parents, Roy and Rena Rosalis; and her brother, Roy Rosalis, Jr.
Survivors include her children, David J. (Shelia) Ward, Jr., Rod S. (Aline) Ward, and Terry (Steven) Cates; her sisters, Shirley ""Sherry"" Rosalis and Debbie (Dalton) Roberts; her grandchildren, Jimmy Cates, Brad (Riley) Cates, and Joshua Mayfield; and her great grandchild, Bella Cates. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kevin Daniels for helping Mom and Dad.
The visitation for family and friends will be Monday, August 8, 2011 from 10:30 to 12:30 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi.
The funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
