Barbara Wade

Barbara G. Wade, age 92, passed away on November 7, 2022 in Biloxi, MS. She was a resident of Gulfport since 1980.

She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to George Grant and Maria Santos Grant on August 15, 1930.

She raised 8 children, 3 of whom preceded her in death. She also leaves behind by her husband of 56 years Richard Wade, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was active in the auxiliaries of the NSVA, VFW, DAV and American Legion. Her hobbies included crafts, ceramics and collecting items from duty stations. She was a wonderful person who was generous in spirit and will be missed by many.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, MS 39503. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Memorial service at 11:00 a.m., and Reception from 12:00  – 2:00 p.m.

Private inurnment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or NSVAA Island X1 Gulfport.
