Barbara Esther Doussan (Parra) was born on June 20,1946 to Hazel Prendiville Doussan and
Stanley J. Doussan in New Orleans, LA. She departed our world on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Picayune, MS.
Barbara had many gifts, yet she was always giving. She had sharp wit and a stunning smile. She was a coffee connoisseur, a chef and epicure, a ruthless canasta player, an adept greenskeeper, an altruist and animal lover, an expert listener and oracle of advice. But most notably she was a beautiful soul and loving mother.
Barbara was once married to Milton E. Ragusa Jr. and during that time had two children together: Robert J. Ragusa and Julie Ragusa Stevens, whom she both adored and endlessly supported.
She delighted in her grandchildren, Ericka Rush Poole, Brittany Rush Peralta and
Camden Trosclair. Was overjoyed with her great- grandchildren, Cullen Poole, Brennan Poole,
Nora Kate Poole and Ezra Peralta. Barbara also loved, like her own, her daughter-in-law Rhonda Shepherd Ragusa, son-in-law Wayne Louis (Buddy) Stevens and great-son-in-law’s Tyler Poole and Reese Peralta.Barbara was a blessing and her tenacity in love and spirit will continue to live within all of us.
