Barbara J. Montana, age 64 and a resident of Long Beach, died on December 19, 2006 in Long Beach.
Mrs. Montana was born on March 26, 1942 in Ellisville, Ms. and spent most of her life in the Picayune and Long Beach areas. She was the manager of the Hitching Post restaurant in Long Beach for 22 years, worked at the Gulfport Laundry for many years as a supervisor and spent many years on the dairy farm. She also worked at Stuffed Shirt factory and had worked at Gulf Coast Laundry as a supervisor for 7 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband W.J. """"Bill"""" Montana, sons, Robert Earl Tedford and Heath Alan Montana and in addition her parents, Leslie and Pearl Hood; her survivors include her children, Danny Ray Tedford and Joe Montana both of Saucier, Michael Montana of Gulfport, and Donald Ray Montana of Slidell, La.; one grand daughter, Kymberly Tedford of Saucier and two great grandchildren, Danyelle and Kyndell Thomas of Saucier
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 21, 2006 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Riemann Family's GULF COAST FUNERAL HOME on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel and burial will follow in the Saucier Cemetery.
