Barbara Ann (Bobbie) Johnson of D'Iberville died Sunday, November 26 at Biloxi Regional Hospital. She was 81 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Anna Carlson, her brother's wife, Lorraine Carlson and her son, Terry Robert Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Johnson, her brother, Leon Carlson, her nieces, Karen (Bill) Seckington and Jan and Sylvia, her nephews, David and Jim Carlson all of Long Beach California, and many grand nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her cousins, Jane and Marguerite Dacey of Ocean Springs, Oliver Dacey, Jr. of Lancaster, TX, her nephews, Andy and Doug Marsh of Florida, her niece, Barbara Betts of London, England and her daughter-in-law, Brenda Johnson Little of Missouri.
Bobbie met Robert on a blind date, got engaged that night and was married six months later. They celebrated their fifty-seventh anniversary this year.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Biloxi where she enjoyed the Laura White Circle and the Challenger's Sunday school class. She was a member of the Evangelism Committee as well as the Administrative Board. While they were still active, she also was in a prayer group and attended Happy Hearts. She was a former member of P.E.O., Chapter E holding the office of chaplain.
Bobbie was truly a selfless person with a heart of gold. She loved people and they all loved her.
Visitation will be from 9 Ð 10 and the memorial service at 10 on Saturday, December 2 at the First United Methodist Church in Biloxi.
