Barbara Ann Hayden, age 82, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2022. She was a native and longtime resident of Pass Christian.
Barbara proudly devoted her working years to the Pass Christian School District where she retired. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian. Barbara was a family woman. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed camping, word searches and shopping. Mrs. Hayden never met a stranger. All who knew her were privileged and touched by the love and compassion she had to offer.
Mrs. Hayden was preceded in death by her husband, Will Hayden, of 58 years; her parents, Leander and Lucille Dubuisson; sisters: Rose Dubuisson, Betty Dubuisson, Louise Ladner; brothers: James Dubuisson, Clarence Dubuisson and Donald Dubuisson.
She is survived by her son: Darrell L. Hayden (Michelle); daughters: Sharon D. Ladner (Milton) and Lisa A. Vermilyea (Sam); 7 grandchildren; Anthony C. Kallas III (Brandi), Gwendolynn N. Cox (Aaron), Joshua L. Ladner (Meghan), Meredith L. Hayden (Shawn), Nicole R. Ladner, Tabitha A. Kallas (Robert), and Bryce C. Hayden; 10 great grandchildren: Colton Cox, Rayson Cox, Morgan Cox, Adalynn Cox, Kayden Kallas, Dryston Ladner, Jaydon Ladner, Avery Ladner Addysyn Bickel, and Audrey Bickel; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Pass Christian Rehabilitation Center and Traditions Health for the love, compassion, and support they showed while caring for Mrs. Hayden.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 - 3:00 at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou, Diamondhead.
