Barbara Duncan

Barbara E. Duncan, age 66, of Biloxi, passed away on September 26, 2009 in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Duncan.
She is survived by her mother, Elaine H. Duncan, of Biloxi; her sister, Helen M. Barner, of Clarksdale, MS; and her brother, James W. Duncan, and his wife, Denise, of Houston, TX.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Biloxi where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a school teacher for many years and taught in the St. Martin, Biloxi, Pascagoula, and Panama City, FL school systems. She also worked for the Gulfport Job Corps. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the American Association of University Women, and the Gulf Coast Orchid Society.
Barbara was Chair of the Harrison County Federation of Democratic Women, Vice Chair of the Harrison County Democratic Executive Committee, and Secretary of the 4th Congressional District Democratic Caucus.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 6:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi, where family and friends may visit from 4:00 PM until service time.
