Barbara Ruth Cooper, age 74, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
Barbara was born in Nazereth, PA but was a resident of Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Olfert Wiersma; son, Bruce Johns; grandson, Taylor Cooper; and brother, David Wiersma.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 47 years, James William Cooper; sons, Jeff Cooper of VA an Gregory (Lauren) Cooper of TX; siblings, Jake (Alice) Wiersma of PA and Teddy Wiersma of FL; grandchildren, Adam (Courtney) Cooper, Cody (Amanda) Cooper, Ashton Cooper, Amber Cooper and Gabby Cooper; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed counted cross stitching; loved gardening and took immense pride with her house and landscaping to make it a home. Barbara also enjoyed Nascar racing, camping and had a love for the outdoors.
The visitation will be on Monday, August 19, 2019 at The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. An online guestbook may be viewed and condolences and photos shared at www.riemannfamily.com .
