Mr. B B Hayes, Sr., age 71, resident of Saucier, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mr. Hayes served in the U.S. Army, was a true handyman, and was true to his church, Temple Baptist Church, Gulfport. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse H. Hayes and Almeda Pearce Hayes; brother, Roland Hayes.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hayes of Saucier; children, Kenneth Hayes and family of TX, Karen Thompson of Gulfport, Deborah Hayes and family of Jackson, MS, Teresa Skipper and family of Mobile, AL, B B Hayes, Jr. and family of Gulfport; stepchildren, Sherry Biksey and family of TX, Pam Peterman and family of WA, Christine Rogers and family of CT, and Jimmy Roney of Gulfport; 1 brother and 3 sisters; 23 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008, at Temple Baptist Church, corner of Dedeaux and Three Rivers Roads, at 12 noon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
