Austin Barker, age 23, a lifelong resident of Long Beach, passed away on March 14, 2018.
Austin was a 2012 graduate of Long Beach High School and was currently attending MGCC where he was studying drafting and design.
Austin enjoyed dirt track racing, working on cars, and salt water fishing. He also enjoyed watching baseball, football, and hockey. His greatest love was spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Toni Barker; his sister, Brittany Keegan; his paternal grandmother, Mary Barker; his paternal great-grandmother, Eloise "Granny" Sperry; and his maternal grandfather, John Curlee.
Austin is survived by his father, Robby Barker and his step-mother, Leslie Barker; his sisters, Shannon McGoey, Grace Bennett, and Lauren Bennett; his paternal grandparents, Ronnie Barker and Tammy McGill; his maternal grandmother, Peggy Veazey Rogers; his maternal grandparents, Max Williams and Fran Williams; and his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 12:00 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the Mass. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian.
