Augustine S. Duckworth, age 86, resident of Saucier, died, Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Duckworth worked at Justice Court with Judge J.L. """"Pat"""" Duckworth. She retired from the Harrison County Sheriff Office in the transport division. Mrs. Duckworth did volunteer work at the VA Hospital and Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gulfport. She enjoyed pottery, ceramics, yard work and taking care of people.
Mrs. Duckworth was preceded in death by her husband, Judge J.L. """"Pat"""" Duckworth; her parents, William Smoothers and Lucy Hope Logan; and a sister Reggie Jourdes.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Henderson of Saucier and Pamela Duckworth Ramage and husband Wally of Bay St. Louis; five grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, September 4, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Services will be Tuesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
