Aubrey James Seymour, Sr., age 90, a lifelong resident of Biloxi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 25, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Seymour; his parents, Willie and Lucretia Seymour; one brother, Wayne Seymour; his grandson Stanley Trapman; and his son in law, Louis Meaut.
He is survived by his seven children, Karen Yarbrough (Bob), Lou Ann Henderson, Kathy Stringer (Dean), Yvonne Holland, Yvette Monk (Ronnie), Aubrey J. "AJ" Seymour, Jr., and Ray Trapman (Jeanie); two siblings, Melba Saucier and Mike Seymour (Linda); fourteen grandchildren, Kalli Mariakis, Kasey McKee-Branand,Karianne McKee, Brittany Hentges, Louis Meaut, Rena Lee, Kyle Stringer, Cody Seymour, Chaise Seymour, Cortney Holland, Brandon Monk and Destinee Monk; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Aubrey lived a long and wonderful life, he attended St. Martin High School, was a major league baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, served in the U.S. Army from 1950 - 1952 and worked at Keesler Air Force Base in Civil Service until his retirement. His two greatest loves were his family and fishing. He was of the Catholic faith, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of D'Iberville. He will be deeply missed by his family.
The family would like to thank SAAD Healthcare and Hospice for the wonderful care and support given to Aubrey and the Seymour family during this long journey.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd at Washington Ave. in West Jackson County. Burial will follow in Seymour Cemetery.
