Aubrey Griffin

An infectious grin shows a life well lived.

Married 51 years to the love of his life Linda Griffin, he raised one son, Gary Griffin. Gary married Kelly, and they gave him 2 grandsons Bailey & Colin Griffin. His family was his greatest love and he was a fierce protector of them, providing love, laughter, wisdom and strength.

Aubrey left this world for heaven Monday, April 4th. He owned Griffin’s Parkside Exxon from 1983 till Katrina in 2005.  Aubrey was always helping someone at “The Station”, making sure they were well taken care of.  He went to work mowing grass and patching holes for the Harrison County Road Department where he officially retired.  He was an avid fisherman, and you would be able to tell by all the lures, line, and poles he collected.  His joy was found in working, he was always busy. His willingness to always help, fix, take care, protect, and give wisdom will be greatly missed.   He was a member at North Long Beach Baptist Church and was loved by all.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ova Monroe and Sallie Safronia Griffin; his brothers, Ova Monroe Jr., Willard, Dolphus, Woodrow, Albert Ray, William; and his 2 sisters, Mattie Mae & Christine.

He is survived by his devoted wife Linda Griffin; his son, Gary Griffin (Kelly); his grandsons, Bailey Griffin and Colin Griffin; his 2 brothers, James Elwood and Lowry Griffin; and many nieces and nephews that all held a special place in his heart.

The family would like to offer a sincere Thank You to Cannon Hospice for the love, care and respect shown to Mr. Griffin while in their care.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach.  The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 8, 2022, at Biloxi National Cemetery.
