Arturo Angel Mora passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday March 18th at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Born in March of 1946, he was the youngest child of Arturo and Evelina Mora in San Jose, Costa Rica. In the early 1960s, he and his mother moved to the United States so that he could continue his education at Prytania Private High School in New Orleans. Following his graduation from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, he remained around the Greater New Orleans area owning and operating an import/export business and working in the food service industry over the years. After being transplanted to Hattiesburg, Mississippi following Katrina, Arturo enjoyed his time volunteering at Wesley Medical Center. With the birth of his grandson Attison in 2010, he enthusiastically moved to Gulfport to spend more time with his grandchild. While on the coast, he enjoyed volunteering his time with the Society of St.Vincent de Paul in Biloxi.
