Arthur Louis Delaughter, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, entered into eternal rest on January 7, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 77. Born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana on October 18, 1947, Arthur lived a life of service and dedication that touched the hearts of many.

Arthur proudly served his country as an Army Veteran, attaining the rank of E-5. His commitment to his military service laid a strong foundation for the rest of his life.

Educated with a high school diploma, Arthur's intelligence and resourcefulness shone brightly both in his work and his personal life.

In his leisure time, Arthur found joy in the great outdoors, delighting in activities such as golfing and fishing. He was particularly fond of LSU football, passionately cheering for his team with unwavering loyalty. His love for these pastimes brought him closer to family and friends, creating shared memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Arthur is survived by his devoted sons, Stephen Delaughter and Marty Delaughter and Daughter In Law Amanda Delaughter. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Kenny Delaughter, Mike Delaughter, and sister Wilda Phillips, who will forever remember the laughter and warmth he brought into their lives. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Alexis, Kobe, Patience, Beaux Delaughter, along with Shane, and Rogan Massey, whom he adored and who brought him immense pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hamby and Mary Delaughter, and his ex wife Zillah Montez Delaughter, siblings Sonny, Louise, and Edith Delaughter. Together, they have left a lasting mark on his heart, guiding him through life.

Arthur's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those who knew him. His kindness, dedication, and love will be greatly missed by all. As we remember Arthur, let us cherish the moments we shared, the laughter he brought, and the lessons he taught us until we meet again.
