Anthony Steve Lepoma, Sr., passed away on Feb. 5, 2022 at Ocean Springs Hospital. Born Jan. 25, 1938, in Chicago, he moved to the Mississippi Coast in the late 1960s.

A resident of St. Martin, he is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Lepoma; his wife of 47 years, Mary Sue (Crowder) Lepoma; brother, Stephen Lepoma; and sons, Bart Howard Brewer and Anthony Steve Lepoma, Jr.
He is survived by daughter, Susan Lepoma Perkins (David) and sons, Randy Brewer (Arlene), David Brewer (Linda), and Bret Brewer; grandchildren, Jessica, Elijah, Brittany, and Brettina Brewer, Antonio, Giovanni, Luciano, Gregorio, and Giuliana Lepoma; daughters in law, Carrie Lepoma and Gina Brewer;  and his favorite niece, Dawn Lepoma Dodge; numerous relatives and friends.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 30 years of service as a letter carrier in Chicago and Biloxi, and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for more than 50 years. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and served one term. When drafted, he was trained in Heavy Weapons Infantry, but was later transferred to Communications as a Wireman due to prior education at DeVry Technical Institute. He graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago in 1955, where he developed his skills as an artist. He liked to paint Coastal scenes and gifted his artwork to many friends and family. He was proud of his Sicilian heritage, loved his family, and enjoyed sharing books and knowledge with others. His grandchildren called him Paw Paw Choo Choo for his lifelong interest in trains and model railroading.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:30 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. Biloxi. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Fr. Dominic Pham will be officiating.
