Anthony Legendre, Jr.

Anthony Vital Legendre, Jr., age 81, a resident of Waveland, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Bay St. Louis.

Anthony was a native of New Orleans.  He was in the U.S. Army and was employed with Union Pacific as a supervisor.  Anthony was a lifetime member of the VFW, post 4808, Lakeshore, MS.  He loved football, basketball and pretty much any sports.  He was of the Catholic faith and was a Republican.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Shea Legendre; son, Michael V. Legendre; parents, Anthony V. Legendre, Sr., and Frances A. Legendre; and sister, Ruby L. Smith.

Anthony is survived by his son; David (Brigetta) Legendre; sister, Margie L. (Gerald) Asher; and grandchildren, Sara Legendre, Samantha Legendre, Jacob Laboy; and a host of nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his partner and caretaker Tina Diliberto.

The graveside service will be on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Hope Mausoleum, 4841 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA at 11:30AM.
