Anthony Joseph Peterson, 79, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
Mr. Peterson was a native of the Delisle Community in Harrison County and has resided in Long Beach since 1972. He was a graduate of Pass Christian High School, and received both his Bachelor of Science and Master in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University. Mr. Peterson served in the U.S. Army and he retired as an Aerospace Engineer from Stennis Space Center. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin J. Peterson; mother, Etha Peterson; and brother, Glenn Paul Peterson. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jo Ann F. Peterson; son, Tony Peterson; daughter, Janice Peterson (Angela Christian); brother, Larry Wayne Peterson (Linda); nephew, Alan Peterson; sister-in-law, Jane Peterson; niece, Michelle Peterson; and nephew, Glenn Paul Peterson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 1st from 2:30 until the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m., at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS. Burial will be held privately at Wolf River Cemetery.
