Anthony G. """"Andy"""" Foretich, age 57 and a resident of Gulfport, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Foretich was a 3rd Degree Mason at the Southern Star Lodge #500 and a past Boy Scout Leader. He was a musician and an artist. He also enjoyed sailing. Mr. Foretich was a member of the Mississippi City United Methodist Church, a 1969 graduate of Gulfport High School, and a 1974 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mr. Foretich worked with Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District, was the owner of Andy's Piano Care, and an adolescent counselor and teacher at Sand Hill Hospital and Gulf Oaks Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles Joseph Foretich and Mae Charlotte McCleland Foretich; his maternal grandparents, Glenn Howard Thompson and Mattie Mae Marvin Thompson; and his father, Judge Allan Joseph """"Pat"""" Foretich.
He is survived by his son, Drew T. Foretich and his wife, Keri; his mother Judge Mary T. Foretich; his grandchild, Cole T. Foretich; his brothers, Allan Joseph """"Joe"""" Foretich and his wife, Camille, and Robert M. Foretich; his sister, Barbara F. Harriel and her husband, David; five nieces; three nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Mississippi City United Methodist Church, Gulfport, at 11:00 AM where visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 AM until the service.
Donations may be made to your favorite charity or to Mississippi City United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
