Annie Marie Spikes, 76, of Saucier, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 in Gulfport.
Annie is survived by her children, David L. Harkey Sr., Micheal L. Harkey, Donna M. Busby and Dennis D. Spikes; and her 2 son-in-laws, Darryl E. Busby and Benny L. Matheny; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Harkey; her siblings, John D. Mitchell Jr., George E. Mitchell and Wanda A. Matheny; her ten grandchildren, Dustin Matheny, Crystal Cook, Brandon Harkey, David Harkey Jr., Amber Johnson, Skyler Harkey, Steven Busby, Katie Busby, Ashtyn Spikes and Candice Spikes; and her seven great-grandchildren, Micha Harkey, Madison Johnson, Stewart Johnson, Braxton Johnson, Jacob Cook, Tyler Cook and Jonathan Matheny; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Spikes was a native and resident of Saucier and attended Perkinston High School. She was a welder and had many other talents. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing bingo, playing pool and yard sales, but mostly she enjoyed raising her 5 beautiful children and considered that her greatest achievement. She was an active member of Morris Hill Landmark Baptist Church.
Our mother will be missed deeply. She played a huge part in all of our lives and will be thought of daily. Mom was not perfect, but she strived to do everything in her power to help and guide each of us the best she could. We love you. Rest in peace Mom, you deserve it.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
