Annie Catherine Walker """"Nan"""" Ritzer, born August 14, 1916 passed into Eternal Life on May 20, 2009 at the age of 92.
She was the oldest communicant and lifetime member of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Annie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Inez Gordon Latimer and William John Walker; her sister Zora Inez Walker Carver, her son, Larry John Ritzer Jr., and her lifelong husband, Larry John Ritzer, Sr.
She is survived by her son, William Walker Ritzer and his wife, Brenda Gail Davenport; two grandsons, John Thomas Ritzer and his wife, Lisa; and William W. Ritzer, Jr.; two great-grandsons, John Thomas Ritzer and Jamie Tyler Ritzer; two great-granddaughters, Victoria A. Ritzer and Sarah Lynn Ritzer; a niece, Nan R. Lovett; and a nephew, Jerome H. Carver; a great-niece, Zora Catherine Lovett and her husband Howard Tate; two great-great nieces, Kyri Desiree Zora Tate and Nanette Alicea Elizabeth Tate; and one great-nephew, Lyman Howard Donny Tate.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to the Inez G. Walker Christian Education Fund at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 11322 E. Taylor Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009, one hour before services at St. Mark's Episcopal Church beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Burial Mass at 2:00 p.m. with The Very Rev. James B. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Mississippi City Cemetery. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
