Annie Holleman

Annie Louise Holleman, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2006. A devout Christian, mother of four beloved children, and devoted wife to her former husbands was filled with life and enjoyed entertaining guests and family at her home on Mockingbird Lane in Gulfport. When she was not surrounded by family, she was captivated by the company of her very closest bridge club friends.
Annie Louise was born September 2, 1924 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mounger of Columbia, Mississippi. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Mississippi State College for Women in 1945. Annie Louise married Dr. Osmond Durant Dabbs on February 21, 1946. They resided in Bremerhaven, Germany for one year and New Orleans for two years, before moving to Gulfport in 1949. They were married for 39 years until his death in 1985.
Annie married Jesse Boyce Holleman in August of 1986 and they were happily married for seventeen years, until his death in November 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, father of their four children, Dr. Osmond Durant Dabbs; husband, Jesse Boyce Holleman; and son, Osmond Durant Dabbs, III. She is survived by her three daughters, Ann Presley and her husband Rhett, Dede Cage and her husband Chuck, and Rebecca Anderson; two step daughters, Diane Kiser and her husband Mitch, and Beth Holleman; her four step sons, David Holleman, Mike Holleman, Tim Holleman and his wife Lisa, Dean Holleman and his wife Laurie. Annie had 16 grandchildren: Courtney, Annie, Roy Anderson, IV; Rebecca, Dabbs, Ashley, and Chase Cage; Bronwyn and John Rhett Presley; Chantel Dabbs, her great grandson, Dalton; Christopher Boyce Holleman; Sarah Gant, Dean, Jr., and Hollis Holleman; Michael Boyce Holleman, Jr.; Addie and Matthew Boyce Holleman.
Annie was a phenomenal lady and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Her memories will be treasured among family and friends and her spirit will always surround us.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 5007 Lawson Avenue, Gulfport. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. with services immediately following. Burial will take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
