Mrs. Annie Mae Williams Carmack was born Feb. 5, 1923 to Otha and Myra Blakeney in Taylorsville, MS. God called her to her eternal rest on Feb. 18, 2009, at the age of 86.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She loved going to church and singing her favorite hymns. She loved her Lord and her family. She was a true Southern cook, who enjoyed cooking for her family on Sundays.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her six children, Floyd Williams; her second husband, Eddie Carmack; grandson, Richie Perronne; and a great grandson, Joseph McCain Hickman, all of Gulfport.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Wayne Williams (June), Mitchell Williams (Theresa), Johnny Williams (Cheryl); three daughters, Geraldine Perronne Campbell (Bobby), Landis Carol Perronne (Ricky), Vicky Hosey (John); former sons-in-law, Leo Hickman and Jack Perronne, all of Gulfport; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009, at 2 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, where friends may visit from 1-2 p.m.
Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Lakeview Nursing Facility's staff, Dr. Thomas Blanks, and Ms. Ruby Patton, her roommate and best friend.
