Ms. Annie Gertrude Beard, age 89 of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2007 in Gulfport.
Ms. Beard was born in Copiah Co., Mississippi August 8, 1917. Ms. Beard attended Burton Memorial Methodist Church in Gulfport for over 55 years.
Ms. Beard is preceded in death by her parents, John and Elvia James, her son, Johnnie Ray Beard, her husband, E. L. Beard and two brothers.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, James (Ruthy) Beard of Vacaville, CA, Lanette (Robert) Overby of Marshill, NC, Larry (Phyllis) Beard, Gulfport, MS, Sharon (Jesse) Tisdale of Hazlehurst; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
Services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Burton Memorial Methodist Church in Gulfport where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Hazelhurst City Cemetery in Hazlehurst, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Burton Memorial Methodist Church, 2419 22nd Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501.
