Anne Arnold, age 77, and a resident of Biloxi, died Monday, June 16, 2008 in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. """"Pete"""" Arnold, Sr; and her grandson, Mark Arnold.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by her five children: Billy G. (Edna) Arnold, Larry A. Arnold, Karen L. (Richard) Lawrence, James R. Arnold, and Gerald P. (Kathy) Arnold; her sister, Margaret Hudgens; and 10 grandchildren.
Mrs. Arnold had been a resident of Biloxi for 39 years and was a Pre-school teacher. She volunteered nine years in the library at Woolmarket Elementary School and at North Woolmarket Elementary School. Anne was recognized as Parent of the Year three times through the Woolmarket Elementary School, 2000-01, 2001-02, and 2005-06. She was named Volunteer of the Year at North Woolmarket Elementary School for 2007-08. Her grandchildren were her passion- the light of her life--Phil Jr., Lauren, Marlo, Matt, Susan, Mary, Thomas, Ginny, Robert, and Kim.
The Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi. Inurnment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gulf Coast Women's Center, PO Box 333, Biloxi, MS 39533.
