Anna Stewart

Anna Lois Stewart, 88, passed away peacefully at her home, as she was promised, Saturday, April 13, 2024. Anna was born August 22,1935, in Newton, MS to Gladys and Arnold Scott.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence “Burlan” Stewart; daughter, Mary Anne Stewart; sons, Lawrence Christopher (Chris) Stewart, and Timothy Lavelle Stewart; her mother, father, and eight siblings: Jessie Scott, Lavelle Scott, Olette Stringer, Nell Alvarez, Myra Menzale, Shirley McVay, Sarah Paul, and Lela Bankston. 

Anna is survived by her sons, Harold Douglas (Doug) Stewart and Anthony Michael Stewart; one brother, Gary Scott; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lorraine-Cowan Road, Gulfport, MS.
