Anna Vinz Crews Price, a native of Jackson, MS, formerly of Houston, TX and a longtime resident of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009, in Madison, MS.
Mrs. Price was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Woodglen Garden Club. She was a RSVP Greeter at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, and loved to garden, dance and decorate. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mrs Price was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Patton Crews and Dr. Andrew J. Price; and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Robert P. Crews and his wife, Sharon, of Hammond, LA, Missye C. Eckhardt and her husband, Karl, of Perry, UT, Joshua D. Crews of Houston, TX, and Cynthia Crews Bland and her husband, Lowell, of Flowood, MS; her sister, Martha Ann Vinz Cowand and her husband, Bert, of Fairhope, AL; six grandchildren, Mary Anne Eckhardt, Michele Eckhardt, Celeste Mauro, Laurie Bland, Lee Bland, and Meaghan Crews; and three great grandchildren, Maloree, Luke, and Anthony Barbera.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at Mississippi City United Methodist Church, Gulfport, at 11:00 AM where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.
