Anna Mae Evans

Anna Evans, 82, passed away October 11, 2012. She was born January 23, 1930, in Morgan City, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents Annie and Clamey Lombes, her son Glen David Evans, her husband Billy D. Evans, her brothers Jake and Al Lombes, and her sister Nathalee Blakeman.
She is survived by her daughter Billie E. Maskew (Jimmy), her son Donald W. Evans (Lori), her daughter Darlene E. Currie (Bill), her son Michael A. Evans, grandchildren Misha M. Peleaz (Mike), Anna E. Clark (Brent), Ashleigh Evans, Brandon Maskew, William Currie, Donnie Evans, Katherine Currie, Elizabeth Currie, Audriana Evans, great-grandchildren Braxton, Riley, and Landon Peleaz, sisters Mary Dumont, Noonie Lodrique (Charles), and brother Morris Lombes.
She was known to her family as ""Grandma"" but to her great-grandchildren as ""Old Grandma"". Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her family- whether it was children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. She loved reading her Bible, doing puzzles, attending all her church functions, and gardening.
She was a devoted Christian so her other family was at Bayou View Baptist Church, where she was a member for almost 50 years. She was known as ""Miss Ann"" to many and ""Grandma"" to some.
Visitation will be Monday, October 15, 2012 from 9:00am to 11:00am with an 11:00am funeral all at Bayou View Baptist Church, Chamberlain Ave.,Gulfport.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is in charge of the arrangements.
The family would love to thank everyone for their prayers and support at this difficult time. We know she has gone to be with her Heavenly Father, but she will be missed dearly.
