Anna Griebel Edwards

Anna Griebel Edwards, age 79, of Long Beach, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Pass Christian to Alfred Griebel and Rubina Wade Griebel. She grew up in Gulfport and graduated from Gulfport High School. She and her husband, Grover H. Edwards, moved to Long Beach in 1971. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Long Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Darrell Lee Edwards; and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Coates of Saucier, Barry H. Edwards, Sr., of Long Beach; grandchildren, Barry H. Edwards, Jr., Devin A. Edwards, Talon S. Edwards, Justis D. Edwards, all of Mobile, AL, Bryce H. Edwards of Long Beach, Jennifer Coates of Ocean Springs and Melanie Coates of Saucier; her brother, Alfred Gene Griebel of Gulfport; and her sister, Anita Ruf of Gulfport.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 12 o'clock Noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens.
