Ann Clarke

Ann Day Clarke, age 85 of Gulfport, passed away on Monday December 20, 2021.

Mrs. Clarke was born on March 28, 1936 in Centerville, Mississippi to the late Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Day. In her younger years she was know as Ann, a daughter and sister and friend, later as a wife and mother, then as an office manager for pediatric doctors’ offices and finally as a doting grandmother. She had three family names over the years, Ann in her younger years, then the Wise One as her sons grew older and finally as Nana as her two grandsons arrived.

She was married to James R. “Joe” Clarke Sr. for 67 years and she never stop grieving from his death and missed him to her last breath.

Mrs. Clarke is survived by her two sons, James R. “Buddy” Clarke Jr. and his wife Karen, and Andrew L. “Bo” Clarke Sr.; her brother, Joe Loyd Day and his wife Judy of Gulfport; and her two grandchildren, Andrew L. “Drew” Clarke Jr. and Harry James Clarke.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is serving the family.
