Ann Marie Cavazos

Ann Marie Cavazos, age 63 and a resident of Pass Christian, died on Saturday, December 24, 2011, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Cavazos had been a resident of Pass Christian for the past 15 years and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach and St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport. She worked for the Federal Government for 42 years and most recently with the Navy at the CB Base in Gulfport, where she retired after 15 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stuart & Anne Miller; her daughter, Julia Anne Cavazos and a brother, Donald Stuart Miller.
Mrs. Cavazos is survived by her husband, Gabriel Cavazos of Pass Christian; her sons, Frank (Christie) Cavazos of Tampa, FL and Barry (Michelle) Cavazos of Hyattsville, MD; her brothers, Robert (Patricia) Miller of Warwick, RI and Brian (Amy) Miller of Alexandria, VA; her sister, Carol (Harold) Loyd of Alexandria, VA; 8 grandchildren; her best friend, Cindy Webb of Gulfport; numerous nephews, nieces, other family members, and her loving pets.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, clergy, and staff at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport Oncology Department and Odyssey Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011, from 5pm-8pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 Highway 49, Gulfport, MS 39501.
