Anita Jean Funk Southworth of Saucier, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the age of 47. Anita was born in Wiggins on March 9, 1961 to Mr. and Mrs. Loren Eli O'Neal, Sr. Anita enjoyed singing, traveling and cooking for the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Loren Eli O'Neal, Sr.; her first husband and best friend, Arnold """"Skip"""" Eugene Funk; and a sister, Selena Marie O'Neal. She leaves behind three daughters, Katie Maria Funk, Monica Nicole Funk and Lesley Blair Southworth; her mother, Odelle O'Neal; her two older sisters, Gwen (P.A.) Thompson and Clarissa O'Neal; her older brother, Loren Eli O'Neal, Jr.; and her only niece, Catrina (Gary) Rogers. She also left behind many loving friends that will miss her dearly.
The Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Head United Methodist Church, where friends may visit one hour prior.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport. An obituary may be viewed and a guestbook signed at www.riemannfamily.com.
