Mr. Andrew Revere, age 92, of Gulfport, passed away on May 18, 2012, in Gulfport.
Mr. Revere served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a M1 Rifle Marksman. He fought in the Battle of Holland-Germany, the Anzio-Arno campaign and was awarded a Purple Heart w/oak leaf cluster, the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon w/3 bronze stars, the combat infantry badge, and Army good conduct medal. He was a member of the Joe Graham Post 119 American Legion, he worked for the CCC in California, and was an avid gardener, and loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Revere was a loving husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rocco and Elizabeth Revere, brothers, Robert Jospeh Gaudet, Paul Revere, and Ralph Revere, and sisters, Florence Walters, and Rose Pap.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Revere, his children, Andrew (Jennifer) Revere, Jr., and Christina (Michael McMenamin) Revere, a sister, Betty Szyarto, 4 grandchildren, Cearria MacDonald, Alexis Revere, Christian Acosta, and Abbigale Spiers, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 12 - 1 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The service will be at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
