Ana Maria Sanderson

Ana Maria Sanderson, age 65, of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at her residence.
She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Sanderson was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Ana Mejias; and her son, Ernest Sanderson.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell Daniel ""Sandy"" Sanderson; five sons, Wendell D. Sanderson, Jr. of Kiln, Richard C. Sanderson of Lockport, IL, Gerald E. Sanderson of Goose Creek, S.C., David A. Sanderson of Gulfport, and Alejandro Sanderson of Biloxi; a brother, Alejandro Mejias of Collegedale, TN; a sister Ubelinda Octaviana of Aquadilla, Puerto Rico; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Born in Puerto Rico, she was a military daughter and wife which afforded her the opportunity to travel the world, including Europe, the Pacific and a one year term in Vietnam.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Noon in the funeral home chapel with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
