Amye Ruth Romero, age 53 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Friday, February 12, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Romero was born July 10, 1956. Originally a New Orleans native, Amye called the Gulf Coast home since she was a young woman. Amye was a loving wife, a wonderful friend, and loved her dogs as if they were her children. She was proud to call herself a housewife.
Amye was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Benjamin Miles.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Romero. She will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her. The family has requested that no flowers be sent.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where family and friends may visit thirty minutes prior to the service.
